There is nothing better than a trip down memory lane to reminisce over our younger years and chat about the memorable TV shows we used to watch in the 90s and early 00s. Right now, Netflix, Amazon and other online streaming platforms are providing us with a must-needed nostalgia fix and introducing some popular classics to a new audience. So, grab the remote and some popcorn and watch away.

Sabrina The Teenage Witch

Stars popular nineties actress Melissa Joan Hart as Sabrina Spellman, a teenager with magical powers who comes from a long line of witches. She lives with her two wacky aunts (who are also witches) and Salem, a sassy talking black cat - try explaining that to your high school friends. The show ran for seven years between 1996 - 2003 and became one of the most iconic teen sitcoms of all time. If you want to relive the adventures of Sabrina, you can watch all of season one on Amazon Prime now.

Dawson’s Creek

Fancy spending a weekend in Capeside? Then head to Netflix to binge on all six seasons of 90s coming-of-age teen drama Dawson Creek. The show centres around the lives of teens Dawson Leery, his best friend and love interest Joey Potter, Pacey Witter and New Yorker Jen Lindley, who live in the fictional Massachusetts town of Capeside (The show was actually filmed in Wilmington, North Carolina). The programme's success catapulted its four lead stars James Van Der Beek, Katie Holmes, Joshua Jackson, and Michelle Williams, to Hollywood fame. It ran on UK screens from 1998-2003 and was the perfect Sunday morning TV. And, who could forget the Joey, Pacey and Dawson love triangle that divided nineties teens into two camps – Team Dawson or Team Pacey. We were definitely team, Pacey. Catch it now on Netflix

The OC

Who remembers driving down the 101? Created by Josh Schwartz, The O.C. aired during the mid-2000s and centred around troubled youth Ryan Atwood (Ben McKenzie), who was adopted by wealthy couple Sandy (Peter Gallagher) and Kristen Cohen (Kelly Rowan) in the upper-class community of California's Newport Beach, and its plotlines had viewers hooked. It also launched the careers of Mischa Barton, who played wild child Melissa Cooper; Rachel Bilson, who played her best friend Summer Roberts, Adam Brody, who played Ryan's foster brother, the socially awkward Seth Cohen and film director and girlfriend of Harry Styles, Olivia Wilde who played bisexual Alex Kelly. Our favourite character had to be the family's patriarch, Caleb Nichol, played by non-other than Kiwi actor Alan Dale. Neighbours fans will remember him as Jim Robinson. One Tree Hill

What can we say about One Tree Hill? We loved it. It first premiered on Channel 4 in 2003, starring Chad Michael Murray and James Lafferty, who play warring half brothers Lucas and Nathan Scott, who fight for positions on their school's basketball team and often the same girls. The show also featured Sophia Bush, Hilarie Burton and Bethany Joy Lenz. And, there was as much drama off-screen for some of the cast. Chad Michael Murray and Sophia Bush, whose onscreen characters Lucas and Brooke were on and off throughout the series, began dating in real life after meeting on set and tied the knot in 2005. However, their marital bliss was short-lived, and after just five months together, the pair separated, and Bush filed for an annulment on the grounds of fraud. Ouch! Watch it now on All 4

Home and Away

You know we belong together. Yes, we do Home and Away. The popular Aussie soap opera follows the lives of residents of Summer Bay; it began in the late '80s and is still going strong today. And, original character Alf Stewart played by the legendary Ray Meagher, is still a show regular and a firm favourite with fans. Over the years, many actors have come from surfing waves in Summer Bay to creating them in Hollywood. These little know actors got their big break on the show, Russell Crowe, Chris Hemsworth, Heath Ledger, Isla Fisher, Guy Pearce, Ryan Kwanten, Margot Robbie, Naomi Watts - the list goes on. A special mention has to go to Dannii Minogue, who played punk Emma Jackson on the soap in 1989. Watch it now on Amazon; we've already relived 200 episodes.

Sister, Sister

All together now, "GO HOME, ROGER!!!". The favourite words uttered by twins Tia and Tamera to their annoying next-door neighbour. Sister,Sister focused on the lives of the twins who were separated at birth until one day, they bumped into each other at the mall. Tamera's adoptive father reluctantly allows Tia and her mother to move into his home, and chaos ensues. The duo were played by real-life sisters Tia and Tamera Mowry, and the show ran on UK screens from 1994 - 1999. Catch all six seasons now on Netflix

Gilmore Girls

Last but not least is this Emmy award-winning mother-daughter drama that follows the ups and downs of hotel manager Lorelai Gilmore (Lauren Graham) and her teenage daughter Rory (Alexis Bledel). The famously fast-talking and coffee-obsessed pair have carved themselves a cosy little life in a sleepy Connecticut village away from Lorelai’s wealthy parents. The show launched the career of Bridesmaids star Melissa McCarthy’s who featured as clumsy chef Sookie St James. The programme ran from 2000 - 2007, with a four-episode reboot in 2016. All seasons are available on Netflix.
