With the little cherubs back at school, why not treat them to an unforgettable night out at the theatre?
This week the first-ever tour of Andrew Lloyd Webber's smash-hit musical School of Rock begins across the UK and Ireland.
Following rave reviews in London's West End, the show won an Olivier Award for best musical, while the Broadway version netted seven Tony Awards, including best musical and best score.
Based on the 2003 hilarious Jack Black film, the musical follows Dewey Finn; a failed, wannabe rock star who decides to earn a few extra quid by posing as a substitute teacher at a prestigious prep school. There he turns a class of straight-A students into a guitar-shredding, bass-slapping, mind-blowing rock band.
However, while teaching these pint-sized prodigies what it means to truly rock, Dewey falls for the school's beautiful but uptight headmistress, helping her rediscover the wild child within him.
Leading the UK and Ireland tour cast is Jake Sharp playing music teacher Dewey Finn, fresh from performing the role in the West End. With musical theatre veteran Rebecca Lock playing Dewey's love interest Rosalie Mullins.
Three teams of twelve incredibly talented children will alternate to perform live alongside Dewey each night and are currently getting ready to stick it to the man when the bell rings for the new school term this September.
So unleash your inner rock god and enjoy a fun-filled night of family entertainment.
